We are excited to announce auditions for Spotlight’s 2026 production. Tentative show dates are May 13, 16, and 17, 2026, with the theme of MAGIC. Auditions are open to all SCA residents. We need dancers, singers/ensemble and magicians (can you perform a magic trick?).
The dancers’ audition will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 1:00pm in Liberty Center. Dancers will be expected to perform the audition dance routine shown on the video under the heading, Dancers Audition. The routine will be taught in person on Saturday, June 21 at 10:00am, and again on Wednesday, June 25 at 1:00pm in Liberty Center. Please arrive 15 minutes early. If a dancer is unable to audition in person, an audition video may be submitted to Kathi Sarkin at cheers4sarkin@gmail.com. The video must be received by July 1.
Singers’/ensemble may audition on either Monday July 7 at 6:00 pm OR Thursday July 10 at 6:00 pm in Freedom Hall Theater. Your audition song should be related to MAGIC. Some suggested songs are listed under the heading, Singers/Ensemble Audition. Email the backing track for your selected song to Bill Hoover at thehoovers2@gmail.com no later than July 1. If you need help finding a usable track, request Bill’s help no later than June 22. You DO NOT need to pre-schedule your audition. Please arrive 15 minutes early. If you are unable to audition in person either of these audition times, you may submit a video to Bill. The video must be received by July 7.
Magicians may audition on either Monday July 7 at 5:30 pm OR Thursday July 10 at 5:30 pm in Freedom Hall Theater with a magic trick of your choice. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
NOTE TO EVERYONE: Please come to the audition prepared to provide us with any planned absences/vacations you have scheduled between the audition and the end of May 2026.
